I just wanted to let you all know to start tagging me in tags! I’ll be much more active on here because I have some time off work before getting busy again! I want to play catch up a bit so please bare with me with some of the reviews that are to come. I know that they are very short and simple reviews but I’m literally writing about books I’ve read from back in March.

The books I’m currently reading I’m taking notes so that I can do this much better. I’ll plan out awesome posts and everything so stay tuned!

The Mid Year Book Freak Out

I did this post last year and loved it, so I’m doing it again. It can be found over at Dreamy Addictions

It’s crazy to think how half the year has already passed! This year I have read 59 books. My goodreads goal was 80 because I know I’m pretty busy with work and other things. I’m almost 75% done my goodreads challenge!

Book Journal

I was wondering if any of you bullet journal? or even have a book journal? what are the benefits and the disadvantages of doing this?

I started thinking about this recently for a number of reasons.

  1. In series I find that if I don’t read them all back to back I forget what has happened in previous books. Especially if I have to wait a year for the next one to come out because I read so many books in between. So I thought this might be a good way to keep track of what happens in a book.
  2. I find when I go to write reviews because I’m so far behind I don’t even remember what happened in a book, or I don’t really comment on everything and my reviews are so generic.
  3. I think it would be kind of cute to have a journal filled with the books I’ve read.

What kind of things would you put in a book journal?

December TBR

This is the most ambitious monthly TBR ever, but what can I say, there is something about winter that just makes me so happy! I love snow, I love everything to do with winter. I will also have two weeks off, so I think I can get a bunch of reading done then.

Chance of a Ghost (Haunted Guesthouse Mystery, #4)  Identity Withheld  Billionaire Blend (Coffeehouse Mystery, #13)  Moss Hysteria (A Flower Shop Mystery #18)  Stealing Snow (Stealing Snow, #1)  Latte Trouble (Coffeehouse Mystery, #3)

Frostfire (Kanin Chronicles, #1)  Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4)  Silent Night Standoff (First Responders #1)

Christmas Under the Stars  The Cosy Christmas Teashop  Christmas at the Little Wedding Shop: Sequins and Snowflakes

I have not been posting here in so long! I’ve really gotten back into reading so you can expect my reviews to be back 🙂 and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram!

Instead of reviewing all of the books I’ve read since I last posted I’ll just review the latest one I read and continue from there.

I hope you’re all enjoying your reading and have read some fantastic books! Which book is your favorite from this year so far? For me it’s The 5th Wave! I did something a little different, I actually saw the movie first and got hooked. Ordered the books and read it right away 🙂 Today I’m about to start The Infinite Sea!

Bookshelf ReVamp

Hello everyone! So yesterday I was quite bored and I kept thinking about how since moving my bookshelves about a year ago, I hated the way they looked. I had kept seeing posts on Instagram of these really beautiful rainbowshelves so I decided to give it a go! It was a bit of a challenge because I also have all of my books from childhood. So here is the end result, I can’t stop staring at it! Although now I’m wondering if I should switch to white bookshelves.

Check out the process below (the pictures might not be the greatest)

Upcoming Reads/Ramblings

Hello booklovers!!

So this post is going to be a ramble of all things bookish and a preview of the books I plan on reading in the very near future so you can expect some reviews up!

First let me start off with a bit of a rant. I found that with getting ARCs off of NetGalley, and feeling the need to post up on a blog, and write reviews within a certain time frame, was actually making me not want to read. I know you are all like

you don’t want to read?!?! But it was taking the fun out, so I’ve decided forget that! I’m reading what I want, reviewing how I want, and being a general fan girl (even though I am a fully grown woman lol)

I have so many post ideas now that I have taken the pressure off, but I don’t want to spam everyone with all the posts, so I’ll just try to make them separate each day.

I have a whole bunch of books ready for me to read from the library and I am EEEXXCCITTEDDD!!!

Check out below and check back frequently for the reviews

Which of these have you already read? which are on your tbr list? Comments about any?

Upcoming Reads

So I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump and been so busy but my list of TBR books is growing! I have so many books on hold/currently checked out from my library! Well my library’s ebook collection. I prefer their ebooks because I have a scent allergy and sometimes the libraries books smell and it makes it too hard for me to read. I also have a whole bunch of ARCs from NetGalley 🙂 Check out all the goodies down below 🙂 As I read them, reviews will become available on my blog.

Which books have you read? Which are on your TBR? Thoughts?

Summer Nostalgia & More ARCs

I was going through my bookshelves today trying to decide which books to take a picture of today. While I was doing this I spotted The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants by Ann Brashares. I knew right away I was going to take a picture of these because today for a lot of Canadians is the first day of summer holidays. I remember as a teenage devouring this entire series. It then became a tradition for me to read the series every summer. As I grew older I found myself identifying with different parts of the books, different characters. Now as an adult I’d be really interested to go back and read them again.

Are there any books you guys like to re read every summer?

In other news I got two more ARCs to read from NetGalley that I would like to share with you guys.

The first is The Last of the Firedrakes by Farah Oomerbhoy and the second is The Santa Klaus Murder by Mavis Hay.

The cover of this looks amazing, the story looks great too. I will be posting a review when I get around to reading it.

I am a real sucker for cozy mysteries and British books. I love that this is a classic like mystery, British AND Christmasy! I will post a review when I finish reading it.

That’s all for now, happy reading!
